Greg, co-founder of Barefoot Backpackers, is a nomadic adventurer whose journey began at 18, when he set out with nothing but a backpack, curiosity, and a free spirit. What started as a summer trip with friends after high school soon unfolded into a lifelong path of exploration. From that first taste of freedom, he was captivated by the diversity of cultures and the richness of experiences that travel offers.

Between adventures, Greg completed a Bachelor of Business Administration and worked in Banff National Park. These experiences grounded his adventurous spirit with practical skills and a deeper connection with nature. Blending formal education with time spent in one of the world’s most stunning landscapes confirmed his calling to unite business knowledge with a passion for holistic health, sustainable living, and conscious lifestyles.

That balance of study, work, and travel became the foundation of his journey. Greg went on to volunteer on organic farms, trek through remote mountain ranges, and immerse himself in ashram life. Each experience carried its own lessons, guiding him deeper into growth, discovery, and the unfolding of his personal legend. Today, he explores the creative and expressive sides of life through writing, languages, dance, and yoga.

For Greg, each day is an opportunity to live in the present moment, to learn something new, and to connect with both the natural world and the beautiful souls he meets along the way.
